PFM Obsession: Copper Love

gotta love the peacock fanfare earrings by MF!

my fave bracelets by my fave designer, Tasha West

i would love to add this to my collection.  this is the ultimate wonder woman cuff!
tribal and copper - what more could you ask!

this would make the ultimate statement necklace! right in line with fashion trends!
with the popularity of rose gold metal this season, i have renewed my love of copper.  i really love to wear metallics but if i had to choose, i would choose to wear copper metal jewelry all the time.  the issue is that not a lot of current designers make jewelry in copper.  thank goodness for ebay and etsy!!  not only do i love the color, copper (like all metals) has healing properties for the body.  according to Love Is In The Earth by Melody (every gem/crystal/metal lover's bible), copper:

"can combat lethargy, passivity, restlessness, excitability and non-acceptance of oneself. It stimulates initiative, optimism, diplomacy and independence. It emits a philosophic energy, free of orthodoxy and bias. Copper provides a harmonic connection between the physical and astral bodies and aligns the subtle bodies. It has been used successfully to amplify and transmit thought. It is said to be a bestower of good, bringing benefit to its wearer. It opens an activates the base and sacral chakras, advancing and stabilizing the the energies of intuition, sexuality, desire and vitality. It allows one to recognize the barriers which are in the path of ones development. "

...so maybe there is more to just loving copper - maybe i need to invoke the properties of copper and that's why i am drawn to it!  either way, i have entered a period where i feel the need to wear more copper.  and i'm having fun along the way!

TGIF! Have a great weekend! xo sesheta

Fresh Out Of The Workshop: Black Mamba Necklace

It's here, it's here! Something that I'm very excited to introduce- a mixed media piece born out of our love of crochet work and sparkly details... the Black Mamba Necklace. All of these contrasting materials are working in harmony to create something unique and modern with a boho vibe. Plus the namesake Black Mamba knew how to kick ass and rock black & yellow fashion like no one's business ha!

Now more than ever we are seeing chunky, bold statement necklaces being worn with everything from flannel button downs to v-neck tees, and it only goes to show this style ain't just for evening anymore!  This classic neutral combo of black 'n gold will be a wardrobe staple, and it happens to be a favorite mix of ours. If anyone owns a luxe black leather handbag with gold hardware, then you know exactly what I mean!

I've been wearing mine on it's own and also layered up with another longer necklace from my collection. I can definitely foresee many different versions of this style in both necklaces and bracelets coming to fruition in the near future...inspiration is a beautiful thing!!!

Daily Outfit: Coated Jeans, Meet Punk Prepster

Last night I slept with my mouth open, a sure sign that I'm battling a winter cold. Nothing like sharing some new fashion inspiration to get me in a better mood! Inspiration had arrived on my doorstep in the form of these teal jeans (thanks to eBay) and I couldn't wait to style them.

Going matchy-match with this teal plaid button down was an easy decision, layered with a supersoft cable knit sweater (a steal at the Gap for $10 in-store) and finished off with our latest bold statement necklace- Black Mamba. It's a modern piece with lemon briolettes, gold chain, silky threads, and rhinestone sparkle; what more could a girl want?! I loved the leathery look and skinny fit of these pants...seems like this day-ready ensemble resulted in something a little preppy, and a little punk.

With that, I'm gonna put my sick self back into bed and rest up.
