Daily Outfit: Earth Tones

right in time for the cooler weather, i dug out my jersey scarves and extra layers so that i can look cool but not feel the cool.  as you know, i would much rather have weather in the 80's but, i realized that there are some things in my fall/winter wardrobe that i can't live without.
  1. my MF jersey scarves are life savers when the weather suddenly dips without warning.  They are also the perfect addition to complete an outfit.  this is the season that you will find one either on me or in my bag at all times.  it helps to have them in a bunch of colors but, i must admit, i live in the one above.  they are just so soft and comfy!!
  2. my boots - i think i have more pairs of boots than i do flats or any other type of shoe in my collection. i love them low, high or anywhere in-between.  i would definitely miss wearing my boot collection if the weather was always warm.
  3. the right coat- whether it's leather or wool, shearling or down, i can appreciate a great coat.  the cool weather makes me excited to pull out my collection.  in the colder seasons, the first thing people see are your coat so why not make a great first impression.  with all the fresh styles and colors, coats are definitely anything but boring!
... so while i am still not ecstatic about colder weather, i am glad that there are at least a few perks that i get to look forward to! xo Sesheta

Daily Outfit: Purple Sequin Dream

what's better than sequins? four different color sequins!! when i got this really cute shirt  from my mom, i wanted to wear it right away! the fact that it is also purple (my fave color) makes this shirt even sweeter.  it was also the perfect reason to whip out my purple tulle bow. the purple is a necessary splash of color to my dark-hued palette.  did you notice anything else about this outfit?  lol, today i am also rocking my tried and true North Face jacket because it was FREEZING outside!! i've already told Becca that if i am gonna take pics outside, my coat will be a regular feature with every outfit! HA! i may be a die hard fashionista, but i refuse to be cold!

ciao, for now!! xo

Daily Outfit: Tulle Moves

when i was younger, every new skirt or dress was subject to the twirl test.  if i twirled and it spun out high and full around me, it was an instant pass but if it just sort of ballooned and then fell, it would go to the back of the closet.  well, needless to say, i still do the twirl test and this really cute ballerina skirt passed with flying colors lol! twirling is much more fun when you have on fringe boots!!  i was feeling very military but the true inspiration for the outfit was the long copper chain earrings i "threw" together.  i thought the contrast of coral and army green complimented them well.  the denim jacket toughened up the tulle. and the boots? well, why not? lol. love it!

Daily Outfit: A Fall Pièce de Résistance

You may have noticed that I like to shop Anthropologie... a lot. But rarely, and I mean rarely, do I get something from there that's not a bargain (at least by Anthro standards). When I saw they were having 30% off outerwear for a limited time, it was only natural to take a peek. That's all it took, there were so many reasons to invest in the Umbered Houndstooth Coat. I was immediately charmed by the vintage-inspired style and I've been on the hunt for a longer length fall coat that could easily transition into early winter. It has a detachable fur collar that I can't wait to wear separately, perhaps pinned over a sweater. And full disclosure: I'm a complete eBay addict, and lots of times I will sell something I already own in order to alleviate some shopper's guilt. This time around I bought a coat, and then I sold a coat. Woohoo! But no matter what fate was in store from the eBay gods, this coat is a unique and classic investment piece that will be making me happy for many years to come.

We had places to go and people to see, so this ended up being an early (and chilly) morning shoot. I don't like to wake up early on a Saturday but I do like a reason to dress up! I removed the fur collar from the coat- I was feeling the need to amp up the navy/eggplant color story with my Open Weave Crochet Mobius (and amp up the warmth!) The slightly loose fit of the coat makes it ready for lots of layers underneath, exactly what I like!

Daily Outfit: Purple Glow

i love these pics despite the fact that i was totally bummed that day.  plans i had fell through and - though i eventually was able to see the positive side- i was feeling blah.  the extra bling i put on that day helped keep me from completely feeling depressed.  if u didn't know, glittery things float my boat (so do feathers, bright colors, bags, shoes... i could go on lol).  this sweater was a super find; i used it to dress up a simple tank and jeans. i really thought that the clogs and feathers added to the "casual chic".  the weather is changing now and that means my jersey scarves are becoming staples in my wardrobe.  did i say i didn't like fall?  ok...well, maybe a little lol.  i do keep it summer all year round by rocking neon nails - this week it's neon mango!
