Daily Outfit: Earth Tones

right in time for the cooler weather, i dug out my jersey scarves and extra layers so that i can look cool but not feel the cool.  as you know, i would much rather have weather in the 80's but, i realized that there are some things in my fall/winter wardrobe that i can't live without.
  1. my MF jersey scarves are life savers when the weather suddenly dips without warning.  They are also the perfect addition to complete an outfit.  this is the season that you will find one either on me or in my bag at all times.  it helps to have them in a bunch of colors but, i must admit, i live in the one above.  they are just so soft and comfy!!
  2. my boots - i think i have more pairs of boots than i do flats or any other type of shoe in my collection. i love them low, high or anywhere in-between.  i would definitely miss wearing my boot collection if the weather was always warm.
  3. the right coat- whether it's leather or wool, shearling or down, i can appreciate a great coat.  the cool weather makes me excited to pull out my collection.  in the colder seasons, the first thing people see are your coat so why not make a great first impression.  with all the fresh styles and colors, coats are definitely anything but boring!
... so while i am still not ecstatic about colder weather, i am glad that there are at least a few perks that i get to look forward to! xo Sesheta

PFM Obsession: $esheta's Spring Fresh Five - #3 Clog Sandals

soooo it's time for #3 on the Fresh Five list.  both Becca and i have a love for clogs boots but, alas, as the weather gets warmer, who wants their feet trapped in closed shoes. ...but now that we have to leave our cute clog boots behind, the challenge is what do we replace them with? clog sandals, of course!!  i have been searching for the just the right pair to carry me through the spring and summer but the trick is, the heel can't be too high - not for me at least!  while i search for the perfect pair, i sure am having fun looking! hope you enjoy too! :)

these Swedish Hasbeens are the perfect answer to summer nude/pastels.
doesn't this pair of Swedish Hasbeens  have Grease  and Olivia Newton John written all over them??!!

i know these Cape Clogs are still kinda closed but the zebra pattern totally makes up for it
i LOVE the color of these Gap sandals but i would never last at this height....bummer
leave it to Miu Miu to make some sandals that both retro and  girly!

Daily Outfit: She's Got Electric Blues

Let's just say it together, out loud: colored denim is a must-have for spring. And it's everywhere. Not surprising, I'm embracing it completely. I just love me some color. This isn't the first time around that this trend has hit- does no one remember the J.Crew Overdyed Matchstick Surplus jeans in soft pastel green from like 3 years ago? We had some good times together, but due to my compulsive wardrobe recycling habit we parted ways long ago. The good news is, since this trend is so huge there are affordable options everywhere...I give you the Legging Jeans from the Gap. In brilliant blue they are a dead ringer for the Paige Verdugo Ultra Skinnies that I was stalking (on eBay of course). The hunt is over...the color, the fit, and the feel of these are just what I wanted.

So here's the look...colored denim, white tee, drapey cardigan. Add a leather jacket for some extra toughness and warmth. Are you building your colored denim collection this season? What's your favorite pair so far? I know Sesheta would say these...she has 'em too!

Daily Outfit: Cozy Up

The weather was cold, rainy and blustery. So the look was comfortable, cozy, and easy. Times like these make me throw on a pair of leggings (Rachel Pally makes the most soft, comfy printed versions), and mix it up with a slouchy tunic and a cozy knit cardigan. This tiered tunic dress was a great find in the lounge/sleepwear section on sale...who's to say you can't wear your pajamas to work? There are a few pieces in my wardrobe that you may see and think hmmm that looks very familiar. That's because being the fashion mavens that we are, Sesheta and I often end up with duplicate purchases. Sometimes we are conscious of it, but lots of times it just happens. Fashion fate! We both own these leggings in several different prints; it's all about feeling comfortable and fabulous!
